Fire Administration - Station 11-3 - Grand Opening/Dedication Ceremony
Saturday, May 30, 2015

Montgomery County Emergency Services District 8 is responsible for providing fire protection and emergency

medical first response to an area of approximately 53 square miles and protects a population of about 65,000 residents as well as commuters and people that shop or work within the confines of the District.

In the spring of 2009 the ESD elected to allow a fire protection contract to end with the South Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, and create an ESD operated Fire

Department. The Department began as 5 - 9/10 ISO

classification and is currently an ISO classification 1. We are one of 20 departments in Texas and one of 60 in the U.S. with an ISO classification of 1.

On April 1, 2009 the ESD operated Fire Department took over

responsibility for emergency services in the District as the South Montgomery County Fire Department.

Station 11-3 was put into service in 1974 in a

volunteer station. Crews moved into the new facility on

April 18, 2015.
